Hanging or standing — start here

Almost every buyer lands on one of these two. The difference comes down to a single question: can you drill into a solid wall?

Most popular

Hanging Punching Bag

A hanging punching bag is a filled cylindrical heavy bag suspended from a ceiling hook or wall bracket. Ours come pre-filled in three sizes — 10kg, 25kg and 40kg — with a soft outer layer over a firm, compacted core. Each bag ships with a 1-metre chain, carabiner and ceiling hook.

  • Three sizes: 10kg, 25kg and 40kg
  • Real swing, real resistance, honest power feedback
  • Needs a ceiling hook or wall bracket

Standing Punch Bag (BOB)

A standing punch bag, or Body Opponent Bag (BOB), is a free-standing target shaped like a human torso on a weighted base. The P081 stands 180cm tall, fills with water or dry sand to about 100kg, and grips the floor with 12 rubber suction pads. No drilling is required.

  • Zero installation — fill the base and go
  • Human-form target teaches real accuracy
  • Spring column returns the torso to centre

Hanging vs standing punching bag

Hanging bags give you more resistance, more swing and better long-term durability, but need a solid mounting point. Standing bags need no installation and teach better targeting, but take up floor space and cost more up front.

Floor space usedMinimal — suspended70cm base plus working room
Noise transmitted to neighboursMore — impact travels through the structureLess — load goes into the floor base

Short version: if you can drill into concrete, buy a hanging bag. If you cannot, buy a standing bag — and do not feel you are settling, because the targeting practice is genuinely better. The full argument is in our hanging vs standing punching bag guide.

Come and try it

A showroom, not a warehouse listing

Buying a punching bag online is mostly guesswork. A 25kg bag sounds heavy until you hit one. A BOB looks tall in photos until it is standing in front of you. So we keep every product set up and ready to use at 1092 Lower Delta Road, #06-10.

Bring your wraps. Throw a few rounds on each. Buy the one that felt right — or buy nothing, and we will still tell you honestly which one suits your ceiling.

Punching Bags in Singapore — FAQ

The questions we answer on the phone most days.

Which punching bag is best for a home in Singapore?

If you can drill into a solid concrete wall, a hanging punching bag on a WM-40 wall bracket gives you the most authentic feel and the best long-term value. If you rent, live in an HDB flat, or simply do not want holes in your walls, the BOB standing punch bag needs no installation at all — you fill the base and start.

How much does a punching bag cost in Singapore?

Our hanging bags run from $100 for the 10kg model to $250 for the 40kg. The standing Body Opponent Bag is $350. A wall bracket is $90 and hand wraps are $15 a pair. A complete beginner setup — 25kg bag, bracket and wraps — comes to $285.

Do you deliver, and how much does it cost?

Yes. Delivery is a flat $40 anywhere in Singapore, typically within 1–2 working days. Self-collection from our Lower Delta Road showroom is free. Full details are on the delivery and collection page.

Can I see and try the bags before buying?

Yes, and we would rather you did. Every product is set up at our showroom at 1092 Lower Delta Road, #06-10. Open Monday to Friday 11am–5pm, and Saturday 10am–2pm by appointment. Bring wraps and hit a few rounds before you decide.

Are the punching bags filled or do I fill them myself?

Every hanging bag arrives pre-filled and compacted to its stated weight — nothing to pack or settle. The standing BOB bag ships with an empty base that you fill yourself with water or dry sand, which is what keeps it light enough to carry into position first.
