Punching Bags in Singapore

Two ways to hit something at home. A hanging punching bag gives you weight, swing and honest resistance, but needs a solid mounting point. A standing punch bag needs nothing at all — you fill the base and start. Both are here, both can be tried at our showroom.

Punching Bags — Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a hanging and a standing punching bag?

A hanging bag is suspended from a ceiling hook or wall bracket and swings when hit, which builds timing, footwork and raw power. A standing bag rests on a weighted base, needs no installation, and rebounds to centre on a spring. Hanging bags give more resistance; standing bags give better targeting and suit homes where drilling is not possible. See our full comparison.

What size punching bag do I need?

As a starting point, choose a bag weighing roughly half your bodyweight. A 60kg adult suits the 25kg P105; an 80kg adult suits the 40kg P125. Go lighter for speed and movement work, heavier for power and conditioning. Our bag weight guide has a full sizing table.

Are your punching bags pre-filled?

The hanging bags are — they arrive compacted to their stated weight with nothing for you to pack. The standing BOB bag ships with an empty base that you fill with water or dry sand once it is in position, which is exactly why it is manageable to move.

Can I use a punching bag in an HDB flat?

Yes, with the right setup. Suspending a heavy bag directly from an HDB ceiling is not viable — guidance limits ceiling-hung objects to around 6kg. Use a wall bracket on a structural concrete wall, or choose a standing bag that needs no fixing at all.

How long does a punching bag last?

A well-made filled bag used for home training lasts many years. What fails first is almost always the stitching at the top straps, not the shell, which is why our bags carry a 12-month warranty against seam and stitching defects. Rotating the bag occasionally spreads the wear.
