A punch bag wall bracket is a steel arm that bolts to a solid wall and carries a heavy bag away from it. The WM-40 holds up to 100kg, projects 43cm from the wall, fixes through six anchor points and includes a chin-up bar plus a carabiner.

43cm of clearance from the wall
Enough swing room that the bag will not scuff your wall on a hard hook, while staying close enough that the leverage on the fixings stays sensible. This is the number that separates a usable bracket from a wobbly one.

Six anchor points spread the load
Load is distributed across six fixings rather than two, which keeps the pull-out force per anchor low. Use the correct expansion anchors for your wall type — the bracket is only as strong as what it is bolted into.

Chin-up bar built in
The improved WM-40 carries a chin-up bar on the outer arm. Warm up with pull-ups, finish with them, and get two pieces of equipment out of one set of holes in the wall.

The HDB-legal route to a heavy bag
Ceiling suspension is effectively off the table in an HDB flat. A bracket bolted into a structural concrete wall is the accepted alternative and is what most Singapore home gyms end up using.

What kind of wall can the WM-40 bracket be fixed to?
Brick, concrete block or reinforced concrete only. Never mount a heavy bag bracket to drywall, plasterboard or a hollow partition — those walls cannot resist the repeated shock loading and will fail. If you are unsure what your wall is made of, tap it: a solid dead thud is good, a hollow ring is not.
Are wall plugs and bolts included?
No. Fixings are deliberately not supplied because the correct anchor depends entirely on your wall. Concrete needs heavy-duty expansion or sleeve anchors; brick needs a different type again. Buy the anchors to suit your wall, or have a handyman assess it and supply them.
How much weight can the wall bracket hold?
The WM-40 is rated to 100kg, which covers every hanging bag we sell including the 40kg P125 with a large safety margin. Remember that a swinging bag briefly loads the mount well above its static weight, so never mount a bag close to the rated limit.
Can I install the bracket myself?
If you own a rotary hammer drill, the right carbide bits and a socket set, and you are confident about what is inside your wall, yes. If any of that is a question mark, hire a handyman — a bracket that pulls out of a wall takes a large piece of the wall with it. Our installation guide walks through the process.
Which punching bag works best with this bracket?
Any of our hanging punching bags. The 25kg P105 is the most common pairing for home use. The bracket ships with a carabiner, and each bag comes with its own chain and hook, so the two go together with no extra parts.
