Boxing Hand Wraps — 2.4m Cotton (Pair)

A properly wrapped hand tightens into one solid fist.

$15.00 SGD

In stock — ready for collection or delivery

Boxing hand wraps are long strips of woven cotton bound around the hand and wrist before gloves go on. They hold the wrist, knuckles and the loose bones of the hand together so impact spreads across the whole fist. Ours are 2.4m long, 5cm wide, and sold in pairs.

Best forEvery single person who hits a bag — beginner or professional. This is the cheapest injury insurance in the sport.

Why this one

What you are actually buying

The details that change how a bag feels after the first ten minutes — not the ones that look good on a spec sheet.

1

Binds 27 loose bones into one striking surface

The hand is a stack of small bones held by soft tissue. Unwrapped, each one moves independently on impact and the load concentrates wherever the alignment fails first. Wrapped, they act as a single unit and the shock spreads across the whole structure.

2

Wrist support where injuries actually happen

Most bag injuries are not broken knuckles — they are bent wrists. The first turns of a 2.4m wrap go around the wrist for exactly that reason, and that length is what makes proper wrist anchoring possible.

3

Gloves protect the target, wraps protect you

This is the point people miss. Padded gloves are largely there to reduce damage to what you hit. What protects your own hand is the wrap underneath. Bag gloves without wraps is the wrong way round.

4

Woven cotton, not stretch nylon

Cotton holds its tension through a session instead of slowly loosening, and it breathes, which matters a great deal in Singapore. Wash them regularly and they will outlast several sets of gloves.

Boxing Hand Wraps — 2.4m Cotton — Frequently Asked Questions

The five things buyers ask us most about this product.

Do I really need hand wraps to hit a punching bag?

Yes. Gloves cushion the impact but do almost nothing to hold your wrist straight or keep your knuckles aligned. The wrap underneath is what binds the hand into a single solid unit. At $15 a pair it is by far the cheapest injury prevention available, and skipping it is how most beginners end up with a sore wrist inside a fortnight.

How long should boxing hand wraps be?

2.4m is the standard adult length and it is what we stock. It gives enough material for several wrist turns, full knuckle coverage and the between-finger passes without excess bulk inside the glove. Shorter 1.8m wraps suit children; 4m+ Mexican-style wraps are for people who want a very heavy build-up.

How do I wrap my hands correctly?

Thumb loop on, three to four turns around the wrist, three around the knuckles, then figure-eights through the fingers, and finish back at the wrist. Close your fist as you go — it should tighten into a firm unit without cutting off circulation. Our step-by-step hand wrapping guide has the full sequence.

Can hand wraps be washed?

Yes, and they should be. Roll them loosely, put them in a mesh laundry bag so they do not tangle around everything else, wash on a normal cycle and air dry. In Singapore humidity, unwashed wraps get unpleasant fast — many people buy two pairs and rotate.

What else do I need to start training at home?

Wraps, a pair of bag gloves, and a bag. If you can drill, a hanging punching bag on a wall bracket is the classic setup. If you cannot, the BOB standing bag needs no installation at all.
